6. Warner
7. Sorry
8. Ya

11. Juice
12. Milk

14. Car
15. Bubbles
16. Love you
17. Up
18. Poop
19. Here
20. Hi
21. Bee

Way to go Grant!

Wanna Play?

After naps today we told Jack we needed to run to Kohls and to one furniture store. Jack HATES to go shopping so he reaction to us was not a good one. He asked if he could call Mamaw and Pawp and see if they would come over. He called and asked his Pawp. He said, "Pawp, Mommy and Daddy have to go to the store and I was wanted to see if you could come over and play?" Good news, they wanted to come over and play and by coming over to play that means driving 45 minutes and getting around the Hwy 40 shutdown. So thanks Mamaw and Pawp the boys had fun and so did Brian and I. Thanks also for the dark chocolates on my nightstand.

This is a picture from earlier this year of playing with Pawp. They play with Mamaw also but I could not find a picture.

Pool Hero

We live in a wind tunnel. Our back yard is hit the most! This past month alone the wind knocked over our grill and it caught on fire, melting one side of it and the wind knocked our umbrella over causing the table made of glass to break into a million pieces. About 4:30 this morning I heard a storm and like normal ran to look in the backyard to survey the damage and our blow up pool was gone...it had blown away! I was so mad I went driving around looking for it at 4:30 in the morning. The pool even had water in it to weight it down because we know about the wind. I guess it did not have enough water in it. When Jack got up I told him about the pool and he was just as upset as I was. We were so bummed. Then I went to the garage get a drink from the fridge and imagine my surprise when the pool was sitting in the garage. Our pool hero took his morning running as a mission to find our pool. He found it about a block away and it was in good condition still and he carried it home. The weather guy says storms for the next few days so I think we will leave the pool in the garage. Can you image going someplace in the middle of the night and seeing our pool flying down the street (kinda a funny picture).

Anyway...thanks Daddy for saving the pool.

Wednesday Evening

Wednesday evenings are pretty busy around here. Grant has speech therapy and Jack has T-Ball practice. Then just for fun we added swim lessons in for Jack as well. We all got home around 7 and after eating went outside to play. I got the hose out to water some new grass that is growing and we had a little fun with the hose. I like these kind of summer nights!

Priceless

Swim Suit: $20.00
Swim Lessons $10.00
Getting This Great of a Pic out of Jack: Priceless
Jack swam across the pool yesterday at swim lessons...Way to Go Jack!

Something Missing?

Jack lost his third tooth this evening. It is the first tooth though that we have found after he lost. The first two were lost in the night or possibly in a piece of pizza. He put it in a bag under his pillow for the tooth fairy.

Kid Journal

When Jack was three I started writing down things he said so that I will always remember them. I thought I would put them on here from time to time because they are quite amusing. I am just starting to write down what Grant says/does because he is just reaching that age. Here are just a few...

1. You are never alone - Jesus is always with and usually so are mommy and daddy (Jack age 3)

2. At the age of 4 Jack saw a dead bunny on the road which lead to quite the discussion about death, heaven, new bodies etc. When I told Jack that it is okay the bunny was now in heaven he quickly pointed out that no it wasn't (pointing) it was right there. The next night on a walk he yells to 2 bunnies in a yard "Hey don't run in the street." Then at prayers on the same night he thanks Jesus that the bunny is now in heaven digging holes, running around with all the other bunnies who are DEAD!

3. Age 4 - On my birthday I asked Jack for a hug and kiss and he just said, "Why can't you just want a cake?"

4. Age 5:
Me: I love you Jack
Jack: I love you more Mom
Me: I will love you even when you are 14 and you don't like me
Jack: YOur joken me mom, I will love you and like you when I am 14
I am holding him to this one!
