It is a house full of boys!. Brian is a high school principal, I'm a teacher, Jack LOVES football and Star Wars, Grant is full of life and loves to just play and Will (the Pounder) rounds our family out. God is good and we are blessed.

The Brown Line
With both boys I would get the brown line down my stomach. I had not gotten it as of yesterday and was getting a little excited thinking I would be avoiding it this time around. The bummer of it is it takes almost a year to fade after the baby is born. My dermatologist told me sometimes it never fades. Turns out it arrived today. I looked down and there is a faint line down the middle of my stomach. Good to see you again old friend.

Boys
Things I hear myself say...
1. No wrestling on the stairs.
2. You have to wear socks with your shoes.
3. Those are not your underwear they are your brothers.
4. After you go to the bathroom you have to wash your hands and dry them on the towel not your shirt.
5. Wash your hands.
6. Get your finger out of your nose.
7. Let your brother up.
8. Do not wipe your nose on me.
Things I wonder...
1. Why when Grant is thirsty he turns on the cold water in the mater bathtub and drinks out of the faucet instead of just asking for a drink.
2. How toothpaste can make such a mess in the bathroom night after night.
3. Why Grant can only tell me when he has to poop and wants me to sit with him in their until he is done.
4. If Jack will ever catch on that has much as I act like I LOVE stars wars like him I could really care less about it and none of it makes any sense to me. Really no sense at all...those weird names confuse me all the time. Good thing he is patient and will explain it to me over and over.
5. How this new boys will fit into our lives and what fun stuff he will add to it!

Nap Time
It is safe to say that Grant is not ready to give up naps. He missed his nap on Tuesday and about 5:00 this is how we found him leaning up against Brian clutching his bag of pretzels that he was refusing to share with anyone. We let him sleep for about 10 minutes and then put him to bed a little early that night. So cute!

For Erin...26 weeks
Dear People At School,
Please stop making comments about how big I am. Yes, I know I still have about 14 weeks to go. Yes, I know it is big. Yes, I do think I will make it to at least June (if not longer). Yes, I am sure there is only one baby in there. And yes I do know it is going to get bigger.
What I want to say to all people that make comments about my size: Well it is not very nice so I am not going to put it on here...
Rule of the Day
Growing up my sister and I always joke that my parents had rules for the rules. I do admit I have some rules at our house now but this is my fun rule of the day!
When you are eating ice cream cookie sandwich during a thunderstorm you have to eat with out your pants on but please leave your shoes on. Then when the thunder scares you feel free to refuse to eat anymore and insist on being held.

Happy Birthday
Six years ago this evening I embarked on the greatest journey ever! Jack was about to enter the world. Daily I am amazed at how much I love him. I remember crying in my bed when he was one week old and I could barely get the words out to tell Brian why I was so upset. I was so upset because it was already going to fast. Imagine how hard I am crying right now. I really feel like it was just yesterday.
Jack you are wonderful. You are smart. You ask a ton of questions. You love life. You are patient. You negotiate. You are passionate about things you love. You are my best. I love you.
Happy Birthday You Six Year Old.

Biggest Loser
Last week on the Biggest Loser at the very end Dane ran a marathon with his wife after he got kicked off the Ranch. They said his time was 3:53. I was very impressed at the time. He still had a lot of weight to lose and managed to run a really good time. Well it turns out he did not run the entire thing and in fact got a ride in the car for 3-4 miles. They also got his time wrong. He actually ran 23 miles in almost six hours not almost 4 hours. I am a little annoyed. I have run 6 full marathons and I think childbirth was easier (granted I get an epidural). The amazing, most rewarding thing about a marathon is that fact that you did it, your body covered 26.2 miles. So to all my friends and to myself who have done a full marathon...Great Job! And Dane until you cover the full distance please stop talking about it!

24 Weeks
I think I am about 24 weeks right now. I say I think b/c I honestly cannot remember and would need to look at my calendar which is at school. Here are my thoughts:
1. We don't have a name and no we are not just saying that. I promise I am not lying to you yet Erin! We really don't even have one that is a maybe at this point.
2. I am closing in on the 28 week mark which always make me feel better.
3. I have the diabetes screening at my next appt. Yuck!
4. I feel him move more and more.
5. We picked a "look" for the room. It is going to be very simple. Kinda an animal look but really, really low key. Once I get it done I will take pictures. I have not bought paint yet though so don't hold your breath.
6. I am still working out. I walk more than run and have had to even slow my speed down when walking after about 30 or so minutes. This is discouraging to me because I am used to really pushing my body when I run/work out and having to "slow down" is not something I like. I was telling my sister the weight gain is not getting to me as much this pregnancy. I am gaining but I know I will lose it just like the last two. What is getting to me is the slowing down I am forced to do. Don't worry though I am listening to my body and slowing down.
7. I am in maternity clothes all the time for the most part. Sometimes I can still wear a sweater of mine or jacket of mine but for the most part maternity is the most comfortable.
8. No current picture...I will try and take one in the next couple of days.
9. My feet are starting to hurt all the time. I think I will be in tennis shoes more and more even for work.
10. No swelling...yet and I still have my rings on!
11. Grant still thinks it is a blue vacuum.

Hair Cuts
It costs about $15 to get Jack's hair cut and all it is a buzz. I decided I could do it myself a while back and to keep Jack from crying/whining/complaining while I do I pay him $1.00 if he is good throughout the cut. The way I see it...I still come out ahead! (I am trying to upload pictures but it won't let me...stay tuned!)
Potty Trained
Grant has been potty trained for about 9 months at his sitters during the day. About a week or so ago, Wendy (babysitter) gave me a little talking to and basically told me Grant was playing me. If I put my foot down he would be potty trained at home and in public in no time. She was right. It took about three days. He now wears underwear all the time and have very few accidents. He tells us when he has to go and wakes up dry most mornings so we will transition to underwear at night soon!
