Nap Time

This is Grant as we were leaving the zoo. I think he was asleep even before Brian pulled out of our parking spot!

Zoo Trip

Today we went to the Zoo. Before we left we had watched "At the Zoo" which we had taped from another day. This is a neat show that showcases different animals or parts of the zoo. It is on every Saturday at 10am on channel 4. Anyway on the episode we watched they were talking about the Somali Wild Ass. This is wild donkey. Jack thought this was HILARIOUS and could not wait to see the Asses at the zoo. Even better the narrator of the zoo show talked about how the Wild Asses were mating in an attempt to get some "cute ass babies." Again HILARIOUS! We made sure to pay a visit to see them at the zoo but no ass babies yet! Can you tell how much Jack got a kick out of getting to say this word all day? We also got to see the penguin march which is when you set or stand in this big circle and they let the penguins out of their habitat and they walk right up to you. All they ask is that if the penguin touches you that you do not touch them. They are so cute. We also visited the monkey house, tigers, lions, bears, and river otters. It was good day! Enjoy the pics!

Grant

I always say that we pray Grant does not set the house on fire. Well he has had a busy few days. On Sunday I was running the vacuum and set it the side to do something else for a minute. He turned it on and started vacuuming the living room. Then he vacuumed up a blanket but did not stop and it started smoking and smelling really bad! Brian checked it out and it looks like he burned through the belt and he thinks he can fix it. Did I mention the vacuum is about a month old! Tuesday morning he got up really early so I put him in bathroom with me while I took a shower. Usually he will get in the shower with more or just hang out while I shower. Not that day! He left the bathroom so I QUICKLY got the conditioner out of my hair and raced out to find him. The microwave was smoking and then it dinged. He had gotten a waffle out of the freezer, drug a chair to the stove, stood on the stove and put it in the microwave. I don't know for how long but at least 5 minutes from the looks of it. This was one black waffle. Spanking and timeout resulted. Last night I made a trip to Target for outlet covers and those door knob things. We put the door knob things on the inside of a lot of doors as well so we can "lock" him in with us for closer supervision.

I love this little guy so much and he is so sweet but I can't keep up with him! Thank God he likes his crib and does not climb out! He will be sleeping in it until he is at least ten!

Grant Was Right!

It is a boy!

Super Bowl

Our guest left at half time with the superbowl but we let Jack and Grant stay up to watch the end of it. Jack fell asleep with just a few minutes left but Grant stayed strong.

Today

I am really feeling a lot of anxiety, sadness, excitement about finding out what we are having today. I think with the first baby you are so unaware but by the 3rd you really do just it want it to be healthy and it does not matter what it is. This is really a big deal, being a mom already I know all the potentials so much clearer and I wear my heart outside of my body daily already for this little one. That is the anxiety end of all this. The sadness is knowing this is probably the last time I will go and have an ultrasound to find out what we are having. Brian was shocked when I said this last night. He of all people know how much I really dislike being pregnant. I LOVE the outcome but the actual carrying of the baby is not for me, especially at the beginning. I mentioned that maybe in the future we could talk about another one and let's just say the answer I got left me pretty certain we won't be having that discussion. And then I am excited. I am excited to see it, see the fingers, toes, face, everything. To get a little glimpse of our next baby. Excited to see how our family might be changing. Is it a girl? Will we have some pink in this house? Is it a boy? Will we add another wrestler to the mix? I am off to shower and get everybody ready...pray for my nerves!

What color vacuum will it be?

Grant is adamant that there is a blue vacuum in my stomach. If you ask him he ALWAYS says "Blue Vacuum." Tomorrow we find out if it is a blue or pink vacuum...I wonder if Grant will be right?
