In this picture of Will and I that I took at my parents I am struck by how big he looks. It really does feel like yesterday that I brought home this little baby and now he is almost 6 months old. Boy time flies.

Christmas

We spend Christmas Eve with my parents, Christmas morning/day at our house, and then Christmas day evening at Brian's parents house. Some of our traditions are new PJ's on Christmas eve, church, and the boys get to sleep in our room on Christmas eve for a slumber party. This year they were beyond excited, much more than previous years. I love seeing the holiday through their eyes. I feel like it is such a short window that we will have this kind of excitement and I really try and cherish it. Jack was up first this year a little bit before 7 am and we all work up soon after. Brian set up the camcorder and away we went. Jacks favorite gift was his legos, Grant was super excited about his trucks and new tires for his jeep, and Will was happy to just drink his bottle and hang out.

Party Animal

Will got a second wind one night and was up super late talking, giggling, and just hanging out with us. Finally he passed out.

WIll

Will hiccuped while eating carrots. Enough said.

Christmas Parties

Jack and Grant both had Christmas parties at school. I feel fortunate that I am always able to attend these types of things. At Grant's party we decorated cookies and played a few games. He had kinda rough time though because prior to the party they attended a puppet show. I really wish I had known this because Grant is really afraid of those kind of things. By the time I got to his school the show was almost over and he was sitting on his teachers lap watching it but crying and scared. (He is also afraid of characters like Santa and mickey mouse types things) We actually left about 20 minutes early because the puppet show wore him out and he was more than ready go. Jack had a blast at his party. They also decorated cookies and played a few games.

Sweater Vests

I was organized this year and got the boys coordinating sweater vests for Christmas. They looked so handsome. Jack and Grant complained a lot about having to "dress up" but they eventually saw it my way. I will spare you details of how we got to the point just be assured no one was hurt or injured in the process. I really wanted a shot of the three of them but Grant was not going to cooperate so I have a good shot of Will and Jack and then Grant hiding on the couch. Oh well...they sure did look handsome!

Marshmellow Snowman and Gingerbread Houses

I channeled my inner Martha Stewart and did two craft projects with the boys last week. First we made marsh mellow snowman and then on another night we made a gingerbread house. It was fun and they loved eating the candy while creating.

Grandparents Pictures

My parents wanted some pictures of them with the boys on Christmas Eve. Here are our attempts. They are quite amusing. Enjoy!

Will

Will is 5 months old. He is weighing about 18 lbs. Love you big boy!

Santa

We went to a neighbors house to see Santa!

Grant Farted On His Teacher

Yes you read it correctly. Grant farted (on purpose) on his preschool teacher. We had our home visit from his preschool last friday afternoon. I cleaned Thursday evening, made sure the house looked good, left work early, welcomed her into our home and what did he do - he farted. Everything was going well and she had made a few comments about how much more energy he has at home. She kept saying that at school is calm and reserved. I promise you that those are two words we NEVER use to describe Grant, even when he is sick he is not calm or reserved. I have observed him at preschool a few times when he does not know I am watching and he is quite calm but he is not this way at home or anywere else for that matter. Anyway as she and Iwere talking he ran over, aimed, and let out a very loud fart pointed right at her. I was so embarrased. I did not know what to say or how to react. She started laughing and I started apologizing and scolding Grant. We both had a good laugh as he ran off. She assured me that she would be telling his other teachers about this, I assured her I would be blogging about and calling everyone I know as well. Oh boy!

Magic House

We took all 3 boys to the Magic House. We had not been in a few years and they have added on quite a bit in that time. It was a lot of fun. It is funny though how with our first child we would have brought a ton of stuff and this day I wore Will, stuffed a diaper in my pocket and away we went. Enjoy the pictures.
