Jack

Jack,

You only have a couple of days left of kindergarten. I remember like it was yesterday writing you notes on this about your first days of school and now the last days are quickly approaching. You have done an awesome job! You have learned so much and we are so proud of you. I can't believe how fast it went. You are starting to read, you understand addition and how to count up to add things yourself, you still love Art and PE the most but I think that is okay! You have had a great year, made some friends, been a good friend, been kind to your classmates, and seemed to have fun. You still race out to me when the bell rings...no lingering for you! After all you have to get home because you are starving and want to play with your things! I get that also...home is good. We are so proud of you buddy! You are out best! You are my best! We are going to have an awesome summer! 1st grade here we come...

Love you Jack!

Big Boy Room

This weekend Grant started talking about sleeping in his big boy bed. We took that as a sign that he was ready. We started yesterday with nap in our bed with me and he did great. Today he slept for his nap in his bed and Brian is rocking in right now and going to put him in his bed for the night. His room still needs some work and we need Bob to put his headboard up this summer. Wish us luck. Grant is not contained at night.

Baby Room

The baby's room is ready. I have hung up all clothes until 18-24 months. I have a pile of clothes on the floor I have not even sorted through yet. We bought a bunch of diapers, new bottles, and some new baby binkies. Now we just need a name. I know we never tell the name and I think people don't believe us but we really don't have a name yet. Suggestions? We need a first and a middle name. Good thing we got the last name covered!

Grantism

After Grant goes poop you ask him about it and he says...."Poop come out my butt" It is hilarious because it is said with a southern accent. Not sure were he picked that one up! This kid is awesome!

Memorial Day Weekend

We have had a fun/busy weekend. I will have to post pictures later because I am on Brian's laptop right now. Friday night Brian and Jack went to the Cardinal game and did not get home until after 11. They had a good time and the Cardinals won. Saturday the boys spent the day with my parents while Brian and I ran a few errands in the morning. I took a nap in the afternoon and Brian went to graduation. After naps we headed over to the neighbors for the evening. They had set up 2 pools and a slip-in-slip in the backyards. It was a lot of fun and they boys had a blast. We stayed outside until about 9:30. Sunday morning we were getting ready for church, waiting for Jack to wake up. Needless to say we did not make church because two late nights caught up with Jack and he slept forever. Brian, Grant, and I cut the grass. Grant and I played in the basement so I could walk on the treadmill and then we ran to Pier 1 and bought some curtains for the living room. I did not like the first set I bought so I took those back after naps and ran to the grocery store. We were suppose to go to another neighbors bbq Sunday evening but ended up not going. I have been having some contractions and lots of pressure plus it was storming so we stayed in and watched "Hotel for Dogs" with the boys. I also found out they were having a pig roast and didn't really care to see a pig roasting. Todays plan is for a pedicure for me, a Target run, and finish cleaning the house. It is starting to rain again so I don't think we will be outside much. I got some great pictures of the boys at the bbq so I will have to post those later.

Updates

Here is what we have been up to...

1. Grant had new tubes put in yesterday and his adenoids taken out. He is recovering just fine. Kinda lazy and quiet for him yesterday but today he is back to normal. It is good to see him feeling so much better! He had been VERY sick for the last week or so with ear infections and fevers. I am glad they fit us in to get his tubes this week instead of the original date of June 4.

2. Only 6 more days of school. That means only 6 more days of trying to find clothes to fit my growing body! I plan on living in sweats and shorts after that and not doing anything I have to get dressed up for.

3. My OB had a baby about three weeks ago. He is in the hospital waiting for a new heart. My heart breaks for her. She has a blog which I found through my grandma (small world). It is stlouiswards.blogspot.com. Pray for them!

4. Our weekend is going to be busy. We have 2 neighborhood bbq's and Brian is going to go to graduation on Saturday during nap time. His school does not have graduation this year because they don't have seniors yet but next year they will and he is in charge of graduation so he wants to go and see how is runs.

5. I am still walking at least 30 minutes daily. I feel good when I walk and it makes me feel a little in control since my body is out of control.

6. We got rid of our patio set. We are looking to buy one in the next couple of weeks. The one we had was given to us and did not have an umbrella. I am going to really need an umbrella for shade this summer with the baby.

7. I am confused about the new rules for bottles. I bought a few new ones this evening at Target. They look exactly like the ones we used with the boys so I am not sure if I even needed them or not. I guess I need to do a little research.

8. So glad tomorrow is Friday!

Weekend

Brian flew Erin in as a surprise for me for Mother's Day. It was a great surprise! She brought Maggie with her who I have not seen since she was six weeks old. We had a great visit. We also gave Grant his jeep and went to a 5K that Brian and Jack ran (Jack did the one mile). It was a good weekend. Enjoy the pictures...
