For Jack's 10th birthday we took him (only him) to Chicago.  It was a fast trip but we had so much fun!  Here is what we did:
Thursday - left at noon, arrived in Chicago at 5:30.  Check in at hotel, walk the 3 blocks to the Lego Store, walked 7 more blocks to Portillos for dinner.  Back in the hotel at about 10pm and went to bed.
Friday - up and out the door by 8:20.  Shedd Acquarium till noon then off to Navy Pier.  Rode the trolley back to Lego store and then deep dish Chicago pizza for lunch.  Back on the road home by 3pm.

We were in Chicago less than 24 hours but managed to pack in a lot of fun!  Happy Birthday Jack!

Special thanks to my mom and dad for keeping Will and Grant.  It sounds like they had just as much fun!

Grant had his kindergarten performance last week.  It was fun to see him on stage.  He did a great job!

The boys love to watch and play WWE wrestling.  Will is "The Pounder!"

Jack turned 10 on March 11th.  He is amazing.  He is kind, funny, quick witted, a good brother, a hard worker at school, and an all around amazing kid!  We had many celebrations.  Starting about a week before his actual birthday we had the family party, then the next weekend he had a few friends spend the night, and then on his birthday we celebrated with presents and Red Robin.  We also gave him his big suprise of a trip with just Mom and Dad to Chicago to see the Lego Store and Shedd Aquarium.

We are busy.  Everyone is busy but I got a new camera and am loving the pictures it is taking.  Hopefully I will post more.  Here are some of my favorites.

Just for memories sake since last post:

1. Jack is in 4th grade
2.  Grant is in kindergarten
3.  Jack played tackle football in the fall.  He also played fall baseball. He broke his arm in 2 places a few weeks in to the season and was in a cast until the basketball season started.
4.  Grant played soccer and had a blast.
5.  Both of the older two boys played basketball and Jack's season is still going on
6.  Warner died and about 6 weeks later we adoped Gracie from the Humane Society
7.  Brian and Angie ran half marathons
8.  We did a lot of laundry, cleaned house, did homework, shuffle kids to practices and games, feed people, and do our best every single day to survive on a small amount of sleep:)
