Weekend!

Our weekends start on Friday's because in the summer Brian only works 4 days a week (although they are 10 hour days). This weekend we rode down to Emge to have Jack practice riding his bike with out training wheels, we went to Faust park, Will got to stay up late and watch a movie with Brian and I, looked at the baby bunnies living in our side yard, and my parents and I took Jack and Grant to Zumwalt park to feed the ducks. Today we played outside, cut the grass, and cleaned the house.

First Bath

I gave Will his first official bath today. I love this first bath. With all of our boys I have been the one to do this. I put them in the bath with me and we have a good time bonding. They are always so calm and relaxed. He moved his legs a little bit, snuggled up to my chest, loved having me pour water on him, and the entire time he was very alert and his eyes were open really wide. Grant joined us towards the end of the bath (he was dying to get in the entire time) and I let Grant use the wash cloth to clean him as well and he was so gentle and sweet with his little brother. I love being a mom. It is hard at times, exhausting, and at times I long to sleep with out worrying but at the same time I am happier than I have ever been or ever thought I could be.

Visit Great Grandma

We took all the boys up to see Brian's grandma on Sunday. It was her first time meeting Will.

What Great Big Brothers!

Oh My!

When Grant is hungry and I am busy he has learned a new trick to get what he wants out of the pantry!

First Bath

Will had his first sponge bath the other day. He also lost his cord last night so he will be getting a real bath soon!

Interesting Thought!

Jack told me the other day that he figured it out. I asked him what he figured out. He told me that he finally figured out that Michael Jackson and Willy Wonka are the same person!

1 Week

Dear Will,

Today you turned 1 week old. You still love to sleep a ton but are starting to wake up for longer periods. You are only getting up about 1 time a night and have even gone as long as 5 hours at night...thank you for that! You have crazy hair and I love to spike it up and I love all your grunts, moans, and squeaks. I love you buddy. You are my heart and I am so glad you are here.

Mom

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Brian. I love you very much. You are a good husband and father. I love how loyal and protective you are of me and the boys. I tell you often that your outer shell is tough but your heart is so sweet, generous, and loving. Thank you especially for all the care you have given me these last few days. I would still choose you after 8 years of marriage, 11 years of being together, 3 kids, 2 houses, and a few jobs. I love you babe.

Day 3 Home

Here are the park pictures.

Hospital Pictures and Coming Home

I love St. Johns. They are awesome, my nurses were awesome, my Dr. is awesome, and if I could go back to school to be a nurse I would love to work for them. Seriously, my nurse Hannah was amazing. She was calm, supportive, funny, and very sweet. I am so touched that people choose to care for me in such a personal way and help bring our babies into the world. They do everything they can to make us comfortable, care for me, and even clean me up when it is all over. I would love to do that for others. Maybe someday.

Here are some pictures.

My mom had a baby and I got this cool water bottle.

Warner

This is Warner. The first time he saw Will he sniffed and laid down in despair. Bruce licked him and went to find a comfy bed.
