Rain

This evening Brian was not home until after bedtime. We sat on the front porch and ate our snack. It was raining but still a nice night.

8 months?

I am always confused by how many months I am. I am 32 weeks which makes me 8 months but I have two months to go and pregnancy is only 9 month? I know it is technically 10 months because the first month you are pregnant you don't know yet but it is still always confusing to me!

I have about 8 weeks to go which seems like a really long time or a short time depending on my mood. I am starting to panic about three kids and being outnumbered but I am sure it will work out!

We still do not have a name. And Erin I am telling the truth! We don't have a first or middle name but at least we know the last name!

I fell twice today. The first time was leaving my babysitters after taking the boys in the morning and the second time was in the school bathroom. I called and spoke with the dr. who told me what to watch for and instructed me to no longer wear heels. They said flats or tennis shoes from here on out. I did not get to talk to my dr. because she was in labor with her third baby! Lucky her!

Only 23 more days of school (translation: 23 more days of trying to look halfway decent for work with a belly that sticks out really far)!

Half Marathon

Brian ran the Go St. Louis Half Marathon a few weekends ago. He had a great time of 2hrs, which is awesome for his first time! It was weird to be on the "other side" of a race! Here are a few pictures but since it was raining I put the camera back in the car.

How Lucky Are We?

Go on up to the mountain of mercy
To the crimson perpetual tide
Kneel down on the shore
Be thirsty no more
Go under and be purified

Follow Christ to the holy mountain
Sinner sorry and wrecked by the fall
Cleanse your heart and and your soul
In the fountain that flowed
For you and for me and for all

At the wonderful, tragic, mysterious tree
On that beautiful, scandalous night you and me
Were atoned by His blood and forever washed white
On that beautiful, scandalous night

On the hillside you will be delivered
At the foot of the cross justified
And your spirit restored
By the river that poured
From our blessed Savior's side

This song sums it up pretty well. Read it, sing it, share it.

Maggie

Happy Birthday To You
Happy Birthday To You
Happy Birthday Dear Maggie
Happy Birthday to You

Happy 1st Birthday Maggie Girl!

Easter

We went to church Saturday night (much less crowded) and had the Easter Bunny at our house Sunday morning. This was followed by lunch at my parents and then dinner at Brian's. We had Easter Egg Hunts at both houses as well. The whole day if you told Grant "Happy Easter" he would respond with "Happy Birthday!"

30 weeks and the Room

Here are some pictures of the babies room. It is pretty much done except for the curtains, the new dresser (Bob is making it) and the crib. The crib is a tricky subject. Grant is still sleeping in it and has no intention of giving it up! Grant has a crib and full size bed in his bedroom but he prefers the crib. We still have some time before we will really need the crib because the babies always sleep with us in the pack-n-play for a few months. I am sure it will work out and the crib will make its way to the new room. I have also included a picture of me at 30 weeks. I went to the Dr. this week and all is well. I did tell Brian that my stomach enters a room before I do and he agreed! (Please notice in the belly pictures that both boys are in the bathroom room with - the small bathroom of course and in one Jack is hitting Grant - a typical day!)

School

I have a challenging group of students this school year. They are very unique to say the least. I just told Brian this morning that I have always felt like each year I am really able to connect with my students, establish a rapport, and not have any problems even with the most difficult/challenging students. I have even always prided myself on strong classroom management skills. Not this year. These are just some really different kids. I have been cussed at, called bad names, students walk out of my room with out permission when I ask them to do a math problem, the list just goes on and on. Unfortunately their parents are not much better. No matter what I do or how I help it is not enough and things are my fault. I have NEVER had students fail my class in 10 years; this year I have many failing. I have been really discouraged and probably complaining more about it than I should. Kids are kids, I can only do my best on a daily basis. I am watching "Facing The Giants" right now with Jack. I have decided to make a HUGE effort to not complain about these kids the next few weeks and when I feel like I need to complain I am going to pray for them. I am going to pray that God touches their life at some point, that God calms their spirits, that God helps them and me. Wish me luck!

More

Here are some more spring break pictures. We went to the zoo and the Shriners Circus. (In the pic at the zoo of Grant standing below the goat all I could think was please God don't let that Goat poop). The boys had fun at both! I have also added in some pics from Jack's first baseball game. Brian had to work so I was on my own. Grant did okay and I was able to get some pictures of Jack. I felt bad that I could not go out in the field with him like some of the other parents but he did really well. Both times he was up to bat he smacked the ball pretty well and ran to first without getting an out! He really had a blast and could not wait to call Brian and tell him about it when we got to the car. I have also included pictures from this evening... Brian is working again so we made him brownies for our anniversary tomorrow.
